Thank you for visiting Papermaking at Pulpitations and welcome to my website! I hope you will be inspired by my work and the wonderful world of papermaking.

I call myself a "papermaking artist" as I make decorative handmade paper which I use to create works of art and practical paper objects. I am constantly experimenting to find new and different methods of producing papers and pulps to further my teaching and for my own work.

I began my business "Pulpitations" 5 years ago in the Courtyard at Dalby Forest near Pickering on the beautiful North York Moors. I make and sell my lamps and products from here and run workshops both in my studio and elsewhere.

News: July 2014

My first time exhibiting at the British Trade Craft Fair in April was very exciting and you can see my stand in the photo above. Following the interest and orders that resulted from the show I have been busy working to fulfil these and my products are now being stocked in various galleries and shops.

We have just returned from the Great Yorkshire Show where we had a stand in the Discovery Zone providing papermaking sessions for children. Around 550 pieces of decorated handmade paper were made over the 3 days and a fun time was had by all!

Our next public event is The Deer Shed Festival at Topcliffe near Thirsk 25th - 27th July where we will be having a stand for papermaking and selling kits & accessories.

Following that event I will be running Family Fun Papermaking Workshops at the Yorkshire Arboretum at Castle Howard on Sunday 3rd August. These will be half day sessions and must be booked in advance through the Arboretum.

My studio will be re-opening on Tuesday 5th August for the summer period Monday to Saturday 11am - 5pm so why not pay a visit and have a go at making a piece of handmade paper!

Please feel free to contact me by email or phone should you want to make an enquiry about workshops, bookings etc.
