Thank you for visiting Papermaking at Pulpitations and welcome to my website! I hope you will be inspired by my work and the wonderful world of papermaking.

I call myself a "papermaking artist" as I make decorative handmade paper which I use to create works of art and practical paper objects. I am constantly experimenting to find new and different methods of producing papers and pulps to further my teaching and for my own work.

I began my business "Pulpitations" 6 years ago in the Courtyard at Dalby Forest near Pickering on the beautiful North York Moors. I make and sell my lamps and products from here and run workshops both in my studio and elsewhere.

Add your name to my mailing list on the left of this page to receive updates of news and events. I look forward to seeing you at my studio or hearing from you.

News: September 2014

I can't believe the holidays are over and it's September already! I have had a busy summer with my studio open to visitors and families enjoying making and decorating paper to take home. This has raised £450 for the Soup Kitchen project that I support each year in Cape Town. Thanks to all those who participated and donated.

My next Papermaking Workshop will be at The Yorkshire Arboretum on Tuesday 23rd September 10.00-4.00pm. It will be a day of experimentation with different pulps and techniques such as embossing, embedding, collage & web dipping and will incorporate natural finds from the arboretum. It will be suitable for both beginners and those with experience. For information and booking: www.yorkshirearboretum.org

If you are a primary school teacher and interested in doing papermaking activities with your class then why not book on to my next teacher workshop at The Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate. This takes place on Wednesday October 8th and is FREE!! Details and booking: www.yas.co.uk

Please feel free to contact me by email or phone should you want to make an enquiry about workshops, bookings etc.
