Thank you for visiting Papermaking at Pulpitations and welcome to my website! I hope you will be inspired by my work and the wonderful world of papermaking.

I call myself a "papermaking artist" as I make decorative handmade paper which I use to create works of art and practical paper objects. I am constantly experimenting to find new and different methods of producing papers and pulps to further my teaching and for my own work.

I began my business "Pulpitations" 5 years ago in the Courtyard at Dalby Forest near Pickering on the beautiful North York Moors. I make and sell my lamps and products from here and run workshops both in my studio and elsewhere.

Add your name to my mailing list on the left of this page to receive updates of news and events. I look forward to seeing you at my studio or hearing from you.

News: August 2014

My first time exhibiting at the British Trade Craft Fair this year was very exciting and you can see my stand in the photo above. Following the interest and orders that resulted from the show I have been busy working to fulfil these and my products are now being stocked in various galleries and shops (see stockists).

My next Papermaking workshop will be at The Yorkshire Arboretum on Tuesday 23rd September 10.00-4.00pm. It will be a day of experimentation with different pulps and techniques such as embossing, embedding, collage & web dipping and will incorporate natural finds from the arboretum. It will be suitable for both beginners and those with experience. For information and booking: www.yorkshirearboretum.org

My studio is open to the public through August Monday to Saturday 11am - 5pm so why not pay a visit and have a go at making a piece of handmade paper! Please note: I shall be closed on Thursday 14th & Friday 15th due to outside events.

Please feel free to contact me by email or phone should you want to make an enquiry about workshops, bookings etc.
