Thank you for visiting Papermaking at Pulpitations and welcome to my website! I hope you will be inspired by my work and the wonderful world of papermaking.

I call myself a "papermaking artist" as I make decorative handmade paper which I use to create works of art and practical paper objects. I am constantly experimenting to find new and different methods of producing papers and pulps to further my teaching and for my own work.

I began my business "Pulpitations" 6 years ago in the Courtyard at Dalby Forest near Pickering on the beautiful North York Moors. I make and sell my lamps and products from here and run workshops both in my studio and elsewhere.

Add your name to my mailing list on the left of this page to receive updates of news and events. I look forward to seeing you at my studio or hearing from you.

 News: May 2015

I recently had a stand at The British Craft Trade Fair in Harrogate and met many new buyers and interested visitors. I am currently working on orders placed at the fair so my work will be available at various new galleries and shops which will be added to my Stockist page mid May. If you are interested in stocking my products please get in contact and I will send you a trade brochure.

My next public event will be at Leeds Arts Party at Leeds College of Art where I will be demonstrating papermaking and selling my range of recycled paper products. Details on the Events Page.

My studio will be open to visitors during the school half term week from Tuesday 26th - Saturday 30th May 11am-5pm.

I run private workshops in my studio throughout the year for small groups or individual tuition. I can also cater for larger groups in the Community Room here in the Courtyard or I am happy to bring my equipment and materials to your chosen venue. Likewise I am happy to travel across and out of the county to run school workshops.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like more information about my work, papermaking kits, workshops or events.

Happy Papermaking!

Niki Hampson
