Thank you for visiting Papermaking at Pulpitations and welcome to my website! I hope you will be inspired by my work and the wonderful world of papermaking.

I call myself a "papermaking artist" as I make decorative handmade paper which I use to create works of art and practical paper objects. I am constantly experimenting to find new and different methods of producing papers and pulps to further my teaching and for my own work.

I began my business "Pulpitations" 7 years ago in the Courtyard at Dalby Forest near Pickering on the beautiful North York Moors. I make and sell my lamps and products from here and run workshops both in my studio and elsewhere.

Add your name to my mailing list on the left of this page to receive updates of news and events. I look forward to seeing you at my studio or hearing from you.

News: January/February 2016

I am currently in Australia where I am taking a break, seeing family and getting inspiration and ideas for new products. Here in New South Wales everything is especially green and colourful as they too have had a lot of rain this summer. And when it rains it comes down in torrential amounts often accompanied by thunderstorms after several hot days 35c +. I could have made enough rain textured paper to last a year if I'd had all my equipment here! If you want to see what I'm up to then you can follow me on Facebook (link below) ...and please tick the "Like" box!

You can still order Papermaking Kits from my online shop as they are being dispatched from the UK whilst I am away from my studio.

My first event of the year will be Springtime Live at the Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate on Sunday 3rd April. This is a wonderful event for families with young children offering a wide range of activities, crafts and plenty of animals to see....and of course papermaking! Come along and have a go at making a piece of colourful recycled paper, decorate it and take it home to display. Details on my Events page.

My diary is getting filled with events and workshops through the year and I will keep you updated with what is coming up. I run mainly private workshops so if you are interested in booking one then get in touch to find out what is on offer. I cater for 1-1 or small groups in my studio and larger groups & schools on site or at your chosen venue. My next public workshop is at Scampston Hall (between Malton & Scarborough) on Tuesday 14th June - this is a full day workshop in the beautifully renovated conservatory situated in the gardens. Spaces are limited so early booking is recommended. Details on the Events page.

Please do not hesitate to contact me by email if you would like more information about my work, papermaking kits, workshops or events. Whilst I am away I check my emails daily but if you prefer to leave a message on my studio phone these are currently being picked up weekly.

Happy Papermaking!
